EDTA is white powder, soluble in , sodium carbonate , soluble in 160ºC boiling water, slightly soluble in cold water, insoluble in alcohol and general organic solvents.
Main Characteristic of EDTA:
1. a white crystal powder.
2. Its melting point is 240 °C(decomposition). Its dissolving degree in water is 0.5g/L (25°C).
3. It is insoluble in common organic solvents. soluble in boiling water 160 times as much, and soluble in alkali solvents.
