What is Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene UHMW-PE granules?
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is synthesized using a Ziegler-type high-strength catalyst at low pressure, with the molecular weight controlled to above 5 million as required. Taking into account the thermal degradation of the molecular structure during processing, high-density polyethylene with a molecular weight greater than 1.7 million is processed into various industrial products, resulting in superior performance.
 Why  Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene UHMW-PE are good for making marine engineering products?
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) ropes and cables are appropriate for marine engineering and have a breaking length under self-weight that is two times longer than that of aramid and eight times longer than that of steel ropes.
 The ropes made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber are used as fixed anchor ropes for supertankers, marine operating platforms, lighthouses, etc. because of its lightweight, high strength, and good impact resistance, among other qualities. This eliminates the corrosion, hydrolysis, and UV degradation issues that steel cables and nylon and polyester cables previously faced, which resulted in the cables' degrading strength and breaking and requiring frequent replacement.Ship cable is the lifeblood of ship safety, it must have high strength, corrosion resistance, aging resistance and other characteristics, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber is the best material for manufacturing marine cable, its strength is much higher than the steel cable, while the weight is greatly reduced!
What to look for when using this UHMW-PE to manufacture products ? 
Because the melt viscosity is as high as 100,000,000 Pa-s, traditional processing is extremely difficult, and a variety of specialized processes have been developed:
1.Processing method: Due to the excellent thermoplasticity of ultra-high molecular weight PE but its relatively high melting point, appropriate heating temperature and speed should be adopted to prevent overheating degradation or rapid cooling that may cause internal stress. Meanwhile, the forming mold must be kept clean and preheated to reduce surface defects of the product.
 
2. Mold temperature control: The temperature control of the forming mold should be stable. Both too high and too low temperatures will affect the flow rate of the molten material, resulting in significant thickness errors in the formed ultra-high molecular weight PE sheet. At higher temperatures, the molten material is prone to decomposition and there will be bubbles in the liner. When the temperature is low, the surface of the liner plate becomes dark and rough
