PAM is a linear polymer with the chemical formula (C3H5NO)n. It is a hard glassy solid at room temperature, and the products include glue, latex and white powder particles, translucent beads and flakes. Good thermal stability. It can be dissolved in water in any proportion, and the aqueous solution is a uniform and transparent liquid. After long-term storage, the viscosity of the solution will decrease due to the slow degradation of the polymer, especially when the storage and transportation conditions are poor.As a lubricant, suspension agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, water loss reducer and thickening agent, PAM has been widely used in drilling, acidification, fracturing, water plugging, cementing, secondary oil recovery and tertiary oil recovery, and is a very important oilfield chemical.

Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a high-molecular material with water solubility and an open acyl group on its carbon chain. It is widely used in dyeing and printing, papermaking industry, mineral processing plants, coal preparation, oil fields, metallurgical industry, building materials, wastewater treatment and other fields. Polyacrylamide, as a lubricant, granular agent, clay stabilizer, oil displacement agent, water loss reducer and viscosity enhancer, has been widely used in drilling, alkalization, fracturing, water shugging, cementing and secondary oil fields and tertiary oil recovery. It is an extremely important chemical product for oil and gas fields.
1. It is used for sludge treatment. According to the characteristics of the sludge, the corresponding PAM model and specification can be adopted. Sludge treatment can be carried out reasonably before the sludge enters the filter press. During dewatering, large flocs are formed, which do not stick to the filter cloth of the filter press. They do not disperse for a long time during the filter press, and the flowing sludge cake is relatively thick. The dewatering rate is low, and the moisture content of the filter cake is below 80%.
