Cocamidopropyl betaine is a mixture, generally containing several main components with different contents: Decyl aminopropyl betaine (abbreviated as C10), lauryl aminopropyl betaine (abbreviated as C12), nutmeg aminopropyl betaine (abbreviated as C14), palmital aminopropyl betaine (abbreviated as C16), stearic aminopropyl betaine (abbreviated as C18), etc.
Cocamidopropyl betaine is a mild amphoteric surfactant that can be widely combined with various surfactants. When compounded with other surfactants, it has a good synergistic effect and can reduce the irritation caused by traditional surfactants. It can also improve the foaming power, produce fine, stable and rich foam, and has a high thickening effect. It is used in shampoos, foaming body washes, facial cleansers, personal hygiene products and baby cleaning products, etc.
