It is the basic raw material for producing strontium salts. The glass made from strontium carbonate has a strong ability to absorb X-rays and is mainly used in the production of cathode ray tubes for color televisions. It is also used in electromagnets, strontium ferrite, and can be made into small motors, magnetic separators and speakers. As a carrier for palladium, it can be used for hydrogenation. In addition, it is used in the production of fireworks, fluorescent glass, signal flares, papermaking, medicine, analytical reagents, as well as sugar refining, zinc electrolyte purification, and strontium salt pigment manufacturing, etc.

The function of strontium carbonate is to be used in the manufacture of cathode ray tubes for color televisions, electromagnets, strontium ferrite, fireworks, fluorescent glass, signal flares, etc. It is also a raw material for producing other strontium salts and serves as the basic powder for the production of special PTC thermistors. As a carrier for palladium, it can be used for hydrogenation. Additionally, it is used in papermaking, medicine, analytical reagents, sugar refining, electrolyte refining of zinc metal, and the manufacture of strontium salt pigments, etc.
